Braving the chilly weather....

This gorgeous momma has had sessions with me a few times before. I always love how they are up for anything and are always laughing and joking with each other. The girls truly love each other and it's fun watching them grow up over the years. I am always so thankful to take their beautiful portraits.

A realization

Sometimes it is the moments in life that are so precious we forget how quickly they pass us by. I realized that today while talking with my kids. It seems as though yesterday my youngest was just a little toddler running around and speaking in a loud high pitch minnie mouse voice.  I miss their chubby little hands gripping my fingers or how they'd laugh at peek a boo. I long for the moments when they called my name because they wanted a hug or a kiss rather than to get money or tatle on each other.

I started photography to capture those beautiful moments I might miss with my kids but the sad reality is as they have gotten older I have spent less time capturing those moments with them and more with other people's children. Looking back I used to do portraits every day with my girls but now we are lucky if it's once every few months. I am setting a new goal to make sure to capture as many special moments as possible of my girls.

Sweet little M

Little M took time out of her busy schedule and her and her gorgeous momma came to do some photographs with me. Little M's momma is currently eight months pregnant with a baby girl and so we did a few quick maternity portraits as well. Don't you just love those big blue eyes!!

Mini Teen Photo Shoot (August 5 2012)

I had the pleasure of working with four amazing teens for my last mini teen photo shoot. These were a lot of fun! We did some creative things I had never done before like a candy photo shoot (and I learned what not to do for next time) as well as the always favorite trash the dress. Thank you again B, D, A & A for a lot of fun!!

TEEN PHOTO SHOOT

I know I haven't posted for a while but I couldn't wait to update on my last big shoot. 

I decided to do a fun teen photo shoot the middle of July.

I ended up with 15 total teenage girls between 12 and 18 to photograph. This was so much fun and I know the teens made new friends. Below is only a handful of the photographs and then a video I put together of the event. 

If you are interested in participating I will be having another one on 

September 29th, 2012 here in Kansas City, Kansas. Cost per teen is $10 and I welcome both boys and girls to this fun photo shoot!!

Each teen will receive digital images of themselves and digital images of the group on a CD with a print release.
