Little mermaid princess

This was just too cute to not share. Little A was all smiles when I showed up to take her portraits. We put her in a crochet mermaid tail (made by Munchkin Feet Boutique) and the adorable Amolthea headband and bra set. With a gorgeous matching backdrop I began to photograph this little cutie!!
I am so in love with the results.

Photo Contest - win a free Photography session

Have you been wanting to do a photography session with me but for some reason haven't been able to set something up yet. Well now is your chance to win a FREE session! All you have to do is email a snap shot (not professional) photo that you have taken of your little one to my email address and put the child's first name in the email. Place PHOTO CONTEST in the subject line. On February 10th I will stop taking entries and voting will begin. My email is EMAIL ME HERE
How to vote/RULES

Step 1. Refer family and friends to my facebook fan page (https://www.facebook.com/PhotographybySaraJane)
Step 2. Anyone who is voting must like my facebook fan page(https://www.facebook.com/PhotographybySaraJane) by clicking the 'LIKE' button.
Step 3. Go the album titled Photo Contest 2012 and find the photo of the child/ren you want to vote for (you can vote for as many kids as you would like).
Step 4. Like the photo of the child/ren you are voting for.

The contest will end on the 17th at midnight central time. The child with the most votes (likes) will win!!
This contest will be played fair (I can tell if you liked the photo but didn't like the page btw) and if the rules are not followed the vote will not count. So you may see one child has 120 votes and has the most votes but until I double check all votes/fan page likes that child isn't declared the winner. So until I double check everything we do not know who the winner is!!

No fighting, no bashing other people's children, no calling out, act like adults please. The last contest I had people arguing about cheating, that's my place not yours. Please try to respect that.

Follow the rules to win!

Winner will be announced on the 18th of February on my fan page and will win a free minin EASTER session with me!! This session is extra special because it has real baby ducks, chicks and bunnies that the kids can play with during the session and pose with!!

I will also be offering a 1st runner up, 2nd runner up and 3rd runner up prize as well a prize for everyone else who enters. So actually everyone who enters wins something!

Have fun entering!!

Newborn baby goodness....

When I photograph brand new babies I get baby fever. It always happens. I mean how doesn't love holding and cuddling these brand new little bundles of love. To capture the innocent moments of life in their first week or two is amazing. I love watching how they still curl up like as if they are still wrapped in the warmth and safety of momma's womb. Their tiny little hands are almost always placed beside their little lips as though trying to suck on their little fingers or thumbs. My favorite thing though is the way they breath, so soft and sweet, like as if they are dreaming of the most precious things, maybe the angels that kissed them before handing them to their parents loving arms.

This little baby girl was adorable, she was so tiny and sweet. My heart did a triple thump when photographing her. She was much tinier than I expected and I was so happy to do this since I actually photographed her mom and dad's wedding before she was born.  Watching these families come together is such a blessing. I am so happy to have been able to capture her first week of life!

Sibling fun

These two adorable little ones were absolutley opposite of each other. The little guy was very outgoing while the little princess was very quiet and hardly ever spoke. Yet both gave me huge smiles and poses that made me smile and giggle. Siblings are my favorite to photograph!

Little P

This adorable little guy just melts all the hearts around him. He didn't give me very many smiles but he was so cute it didn't matter much. This session didn't take more than 40 minutes but it went very well in that short amount of time. His momma had some great ideas to help with each session and I think they turned out great!
